Technical audit and ongoing development

I join products that already run or have got stuck: I dig into the code and architecture, find the causes of failures and slowness, write a plan and take it through to release. I've taken over projects after contractors left and investigated incidents on other teams' installations.

Why clients come

  • The contractor left, and there's no documentation or understanding of the code
  • Every release breaks something and there are no tests
  • The site or app is slow and nobody knows why
  • Before investing in or buying a product you need to know the state of the code

What I build

  • Architecture and code audit

Structure, dependencies, bottlenecks and security risks, with fix priorities.

  • Performance

Load speed, Core Web Vitals, heavy queries and exports.

  • Tests and CI/CD

Tests for key flows, pipeline checks, releases through stage.

  • Error monitoring

Client error reporting with sourcemaps to see the exact place in the code.

  • SEO for Next.js

Metadata, canonical URLs, sitemap, Schema.org markup and Last-Modified.

  • Product development

New features and maintenance with a clear monthly plan.

What drives the cost

I send a stage-by-stage estimate after a call and a review of requirements.

  • Codebase size and number of services
  • Audit depth: a risk overview or a detailed plan with estimates
  • Access to production, logs and monitoring
  • What comes next: one-off fixes or ongoing development

FAQ

What do I get after an audit?

A document with the problems found, their impact on the product and fix priorities, plus an estimate. You can take it to any contractor, not just me.

Do you work with code on any stack?

My main stack is TypeScript, React, Next.js, Node.js and Python. I assess projects on other technologies honestly and won't take them on if I can't do them well.

Do you work alone or with a team?

I own the architecture, frontend and backend myself. If the project needs a designer, QA or DevOps, we agree on the team at the start.

What do you need to estimate a project?

Tell me what problem the product solves, who will use it and which systems it connects to. If there are no requirements yet, we'll work them out on a call, then I'll send a stage-by-stage estimate.

Why is the price shown as “from”?

It's the lower bound of the budget. The final figure depends on roles, integrations and load requirements — I give an estimate after reviewing the task.
