LMS and learning platform development

I build learning platforms for companies and education projects: from course catalogues and tests to expert review of assignments, schedules and data exports for analysts. For a year and a half I worked on VK's learning platforms — VKube, the VK Education LMS and Review 360.

Why clients come

  • Off-the-shelf LMS doesn't fit: you need your own roles, assessment methods or integrations
  • Assignment review and feedback depend on admins and spreadsheets
  • Students miss classes because they don't hear about schedule changes
  • Analysts wait too long for progress and activity exports
  • Partners need sign-in and data exchange with the platform without manual work

What I build

  • Catalogue and programmes

Courses, programmes, assignments and progress that survives changes to pass criteria.

  • Tests and assignments

Multiple question types, attachments, auto-grading and saved answers so learners can come back later.

  • Expert review

A reviewer workspace: queue, filters, scores, comments and resubmission.

  • Schedules and notifications

Classes for students, teachers and admins, emails with calendar events, messenger notifications.

  • Assessment and reports

360° assessment, surveys and reports generated in the background and exported to Excel.

  • Integrations

VK ID and OAuth sign-in, partner APIs, dashboard data loading with Airflow.

What drives the cost

I send a stage-by-stage estimate after a call and a review of requirements.

  • Number of roles and access rules: students, teachers, experts, admins, partners
  • Assessment methods and reporting: tests, manual review, 360°, analytics
  • Integrations: single sign-on, HR systems, payments, messengers, BI
  • Video and load: player, file storage, concurrent users

FAQ

Why not use an off-the-shelf LMS?

If a ready-made platform covers your processes, use it — it's cheaper. A custom one makes sense when you need your own assessment methods, roles, integrations or a product you'll sell. On a call I'll help you choose honestly.

Can we start with a small version?

Yes. A first version usually covers the catalogue, course progress and tests; assignment review, schedules and reports come in later stages.

Do you work alone or with a team?

I own the architecture, frontend and backend myself. If the project needs a designer, QA or DevOps, we agree on the team at the start.

What do you need to estimate a project?

Tell me what problem the product solves, who will use it and which systems it connects to. If there are no requirements yet, we'll work them out on a call, then I'll send a stage-by-stage estimate.

Why is the price shown as “from”?

It's the lower bound of the budget. The final figure depends on roles, integrations and load requirements — I give an estimate after reviewing the task.
