Real-time system and control panel development

I build working screens where data changes every second: order feeds, referee panels, event logs. I connect several data sources, plan for dropped connections and edit conflicts, and ship updates without stopping a live system.

Why clients come

  • An operator copies events from one window to another by hand
  • Data comes from several sources and doesn't match
  • Two people edit the same record and overwrite each other
  • Updating the system is risky because it's under load all day

What I build

  • Event collection

Ingesting data from several sources, linking it to a shared ID, session lifecycle.

  • Real-time updates

WebSocket, SignalR or Centrifugo — the screen updates without a reload.

  • Operator workspace

A filtered feed, highlights for what needs attention, actions right from the card.

  • Logs and reports

Event history and Excel exports from the same data, no manual retyping.

  • Conflict protection

Drafts instead of direct edits and live updates when a colleague has the record open.

  • Environments and releases

A separate stage, authentication, updates without stopping the main environment.

What drives the cost

I send a stage-by-stage estimate after a call and a review of requirements.

  • Number of data sources and how stable they are
  • Latency and load requirements
  • Collaboration and conflict scenarios
  • Whether the system can be stopped for updates

FAQ

Which technologies do you use?

WebSocket, SignalR and Centrifugo, chosen to fit the backend and load. I write backends in NestJS or Python and interfaces in React and Next.js.

What happens when the connection drops?

That's designed up front: reconnection, state recovery and clear statuses on screen. An operator should see that data is stale rather than guess.

Do you work alone or with a team?

I own the architecture, frontend and backend myself. If the project needs a designer, QA or DevOps, we agree on the team at the start.

What do you need to estimate a project?

Tell me what problem the product solves, who will use it and which systems it connects to. If there are no requirements yet, we'll work them out on a call, then I'll send a stage-by-stage estimate.

Why is the price shown as “from”?

It's the lower bound of the budget. The final figure depends on roles, integrations and load requirements — I give an estimate after reviewing the task.
